Activating Media Center Twitter
Before you can make use of Media Center Twitter, you have to
activate it.
Please do so the first time you start the application.
More information about activating our Media Center applications can
be found
here.
Now you can use Media Center Twitter to watch what your friends and idols are
doing and to let them know what you're doing.
To do so, please:
- go to the Start page of the Media Center
application
- select the option called "Accessories"
- and click the option called "Twitter"
That will take you to the main screen of Media Center Twitter, which
looks like this:

This page shows the most recent messages posted on Twitter by yourself and by
the people you chose to follow.
At the left side of the page, you'll see a number of buttons that will take you to more information:

overview of the people that follow you |

messages posted on Twitter, in which you are mentioned |
| Inbox |
messages that were sent directly to you |
| Tweets |
messages you posted yourself |

Everytime you select another overview, the data in that overview will be
updated. An indicator of the updating is shown in the lower right
bottom of the page:

Friends and followers
The pages that show your friends and followers looks
like this:

By selecting one of them, you will be taken to the following page which shows all
messages the selected user posted on Twitter, including direct messages:

At the left side of this page you'll see the following buttons:

if the selected user has a website, this button will take you to
that website |

Follow |
use this button to add the selected user to your friendslist |

Dont't follow |
use this button to remove the selected user from your friendslist |
Reading tweets
If you select a message on any of the pages described above, you'll be taken
to a page that looks like this:

It shows the full text of the message, the date and time the message was posted, and
information about the user who posted the message.
At the left side of the page you'll see the following buttons:

Show map |
if the message is geotagged, this button will take you to a map that shows the location at which the message was posted |

Show attachment |
if the message has an attachment (e.g. a picture), this button will
take you to that attachment |

Show website |
if the user that posted the message has a website, this button will
take you to that website |

Follow |
use this button to add the user that posted the message to your friendslist |
 |
Dont't follow |
use this button to remove the user that posted the message from your friendslist |
 |
Send update |
use this button to post a reply message |
If the message is geotagged, you can use the "Show map" button to
see the
location at which the message was posted:

The pin shows the
exact location at which the message was posted.
You can use the buttons on your remote to control the map view:

Posting tweets
It's nice to read what other people or doing, but of course you also want to
let them know what you are doing. Therefore Media Center Twitter also has a
page to post new messages on Twitter, which looks like this:

In the text field you can enter any text you want. But do keep in mind that
the maximum length of messages on Twitter is 140 characters.
